Good news!

I did some inquiring with the Simon Malls and finally got an email answer back from them last Month:

Good Afternoon Ralph,

Thank you for reaching out to us. In response to your inquiry, I think you’ll be pleased. Opry Mills is actively seeking ways to install charging stations on our property. While I don’t have many details at the moment, the project is a high priority for us. Please feel free to contact me periodically to check the status of this project.

Kindest regards,

That still means only time will tell, but the more EV drivers – go to the Customer Service Counter and fill out a Survey card – and put that as one of there “TOP Requests on it” that will put some spin in the right direction

2. (B29C1 2908 Charger EVSE VC-98)
3. (P3171 0008 EV/HEV)

After some research I found a discussion on myNissanLEAF.com – where another 2013 LEAF owner had to go through having the Charger replace – and then a month later the same thing started again – after he called the Dealer he learned that Nissan has come up with a software update to take care of this issue.
Issue with LEAF not completing a full charge – throwing errors – DTC

FYI if anyone comes back to look at this: The car charged normally for the last two months then started doing the same thing last week.  I took it back to the dealership and they told me my vehicle was one of the first they saw with the problem and that a month later Nissan started rolling out firmware updates that wouldn’t need the PDM replaced.  They updated it and things have been normal the last few nights.

I drove by the EV charging station construction project at Vanderbilt Law School parking lot today, to see that BLINK has some competition and is not the only provider of EV charging stations in Metro Nashville area.

image

So I pulled in to Downtown Nissan service department at exactly 15000 miles on the odometer, ready to do the 1st (first) yearly required battery check up on my red Nissan LEAF. No indication of battery degradation so far, will see what the report reveals.

This is the Law School Parking Lot acros the street at the Vanderbilt Campus on 21st Ave South, between Broadway and West End Ave. I visited the site today June 23rd 2012.

Here you can see the status / progress that the charging docs and the Solar aray support structurs are making, it looks like their will be 10 charging spots

Well, I stopped at the Cracker Barrel in Stewart’s Ferry this evening, to check out the food for my Nissan LEAF 100% elrctric car. And found the DC Fast charger here working just fine, charging to 90%. While I was waiting I had to consume a wonderful Blackberry Cobbler ala Cracker Barrel, awesome!

This morning I checked on the Cracker Barrel DC fast charger after about 2 months of down time, to find out that it is up and running, charged to 90% without a problem, thank you Ecotality.
